Garlic Honey BBQ Grilled Shrimp

Jan 16th 2017

Shrimp on the bbq is the tastiest way to eat them even when cooked plain, but this recipe adds a garlicky sweet honey flavor that makes them extra good.

  • Preparation time: 15-45 mins - depending on which type of shrimp you use and the prep method you choose
  • Cooking Time: 6 min
  • Ready In: @21 - 51 mins
  • Level of Difficulty: Easy
  • Servings: 4

  • 2 pounds jumbo (21-25 per pound) or extra-large (26-30 per pound) shrimp in shell*
  • 4 cloves of garlic finely minced - preferably fresh and not pre-minced from a jar
  • 1 cup MoonShadows Farm Honey BBQ Sauce
  • wooden skewers (optional)

*You can use shrimp already shelled and deveined, however, buying shrimp intact will yield a better taste

  1. Peel and devein shrimp, leaving tail and adjoining shell segment attached
  2. Place shrimp on skewers (optional)
  3. Mince garlic cloves and mix into bbq sauce - If done in advance and allowed to sit in the fridge, the sauce will have a more garlicky taste
  4. Choose either method: Place shrimp on grill and cook 3 minutes on each side basting with bbq sauce or place ribs in a pan or zip lock bag and marinate with bbq sauce; place shrimp on grill and cook 3 minutes on each side
